Power Chord Exercises
It took me forever to figure out power chords. Now that’s really sad since it’s one of the easiest concepts that people learn when starting off. I’ve never had any lessons. No one’s ever showed me anything. When boys usually offer to “help,” it always consists of them showing off. Most of the YouTube videos are awful. And if you don’t know what power chords look like in tabs, then there’s no way you’re going to play it right. I didn’t bar my index finger for the longest time. I knew something was wrong.
I’ve got power chords down now. I’ve been practicing in the mirror a lot and basically making up exercises to get better and faster. My fingers have accepted the form, and my wrist is getting use to bending that way. Pretty soon I’ll be able to play most punk rock music haha
